SCHEDULED TRIBE (ST)

The Socially Disadvantaged Group Cell for Scheduled Tribe Students is a dedicated institutional group committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and holistic development of ST students within the college. The Cell works to ensure that students from Scheduled Tribe communities receive academic, social, and psychological support to overcome structural disadvantages and to have equal opportunity in the academic life of the institution.

VISION

To create an inclusive, equitable, and supportive academic environment where Scheduled Tribe students are empowered to achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and social mobility.

MISSION

  • To promote inclusive education by ensuring equal access to academic and institutional resources for ST students.
  • To empower ST students through academic support, awareness, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • To create a safe, respectful, and encouraging campus environment that supports the dignity and identity of tribal students.

OBJECTIVES

  • To identify and address the academic, social, and emotional needs of ST students.
  • To create awareness about scholarships, fellowships, and government welfare schemes available to ST students.
  • To provide academic support through mentoring, remedial classes, and guidance programmes.
  • To encourage skill development, leadership qualities, and career readiness among ST students.
  • To offer a supportive platform for grievance redressal and counselling.

SCHEDULED CASTE (SC)

The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged (Scheduled Caste) Cell of the college is established to support and empower students belonging to the Scheduled Castes who face social and economic challenges. The Cell works to ensure that SC students receive equitable access to academic opportunities, welfare schemes, and support services as mandated by the Government of India and the UGC. It assists students in availing scholarships, fee concessions, financial aid, and other developmental programs designed to reduce socio-economic barriers. The Cell also provides counselling, grievance redressal, and guidance to create a safe, inclusive, and discrimination-free environment. Through awareness programs, skill-building workshops, and mentoring activities, the Cell strives to enhance the academic performance, confidence, and career readiness of SC students, enabling them to participate fully and successfully in campus life.

The vision of Scheduled Caste in India as outlined by the constitutional bodies and welfare departments is holistic empowerment through equality, justice and dignity ensuring their full participation in national development by removing their socio- economics disparities via education, employment ,skill development and protective safeguards against discrimination ,leading to productive and self reliant lives.

MISSION

The mission for Scheduled Castes in India is primarily driven by natural bodies like the National Commission for Scheduled Castes is holistic empowerment, focusing on socio economics development, education, anti discrimination and safeguarding their constitutional rights.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of Schedule caste is-

  • Providing scholarships to ensure access to education, especially higher education.
  • Promoting entrepreneurship, skill development and access to government schemes, subsidies and loans for income generation.
